We took a couple of days out of the studio and headed to Bannau Brycheiniog for our 2025 ORCA Away Day - four waterfalls, personal branding sessions, home-cooked dinners, competitive darts, big laughs and even bigger chats.
It was time to reset, reconnect and remember what makes this team tick. Turns out, it’s a mix of fresh air, shared meals and a genuinely lovely bunch of people.

Our latest video campaign for QTS Data Centers is now live, and it’s one we’re particularly proud of. Timed for Earth Day, the work highlights the global company's partnership with WarmteStad in the Netherlands, where excess heat from their servers is being used to heat social housing in local communities.
It’s a strong example of how infrastructure can serve people as well as systems. From concept through to final cut, the film brings out the human side of hyperscale and QTS’s commitment to limiting environmental impact and being a good neighbour.
What do you do with a massive, empty Debenhams building in the middle of Bristol? If you’re the team behind Campus Skateboarding, you turn it into Shredenhams - a hybrid skatepark, café and bar that’s as full of energy as it is of concrete.
It’s a smart bit of adaptive reuse that’s already making it feel like a new city landmark. Even the branding hits a clever note, keeping the classic Debenhams typeface for the ending, with a bold, graffiti-inspired ‘Shred’ that feels straight out of a Thrasher magazine.

A passport rollout doesn’t usually hit our design radar, but Switzerland’s most recent edition has resurfaced for all the right reasons. Designed by independent studio RETINAA, it first launched in 2022 but has been making the rounds again thanks to its quietly stunning details. Layered with topographic textures, subtle security features and a colour palette inspired by nature, it’s a tactile love letter to the country’s landscapes.
It manages to be both highly functional and seriously beautiful - a rare thing in the world of government design.

May’s looking busy… but in a good way. We've got a few projects heading into final stages, and others just kicking off. More on that soon. See you next month!
