Today’s consumers have become increasingly conscious about their health and wellness, and food has become a tool to achieve their goals. ‘Unhealthy’ snack foods are out and quick and easy health boosts are in, with a lean towards emerging diets and lifestyles. Almost one in four food products launched in UK in 2019 were labelled vegan, a rise of 300% in the past five years. 

While gaining traction, vegan still needs a perception change. As the need for on-the-go plant-based food increases, a number of producers are tackling it in their own unique way.

THE SOLUTION

Aloha Poké had been working the food festival circuit for a number of years when they came to ORCA to help them branch out into the FMCG space. We created a new brand identity to amplify their message of ‘taste the paradise of the pacific’. Shelf appeal was key with regards to the packaging so we went big on colour and clear on typography, while emphasising the vibrant and healthy ingredients on offer. Utilising sustainable and biodegradable corn-based packaging, we were able to allow the vibrancy of the produce to stand out and compliment the vivid brand colours and subtle landscape illustrations.
