ORCA seeks a proactive, ambitious and solutions-oriented Strategist, with strong previous experience, to join the team. You will be responsible for identifying key areas of opportunity within each brief and crafting compelling brand stories and campaigns that deliver results for our clients and for our own brand. You should be a digital native and strategic thinker with a knack for uncovering hidden insights and opportunities across a brand’s environment.

You will have strong research skills, an analytical mindset and a playful, creative outlook. You will be an integral part of the meeting, briefing and creative process; inputting your ideas into new brands, campaigns and strategies and ensuring the strategy is adhered to throughout the creative process.

What you’ll do

  • Get under the skin of our clients' businesses; understanding their pain-points, their needs and their customers’ needs
  • Design and facilitate immersion workshops to deliver insightful findings
  • Play a key role in running strategic projects that deliver transformational outcomes for our clients
  • Work closely with our Creative Managing Director to create the ‘big ideas’ that underpin campaigns, pitches, proposals and the strategic direction the business should take
  • Undertaking desk-based research and managing primary research with our clients and partners
  • Collaborating with the creative, digital, marketing and account management teams to deliver outstanding brand, creative and marketing campaigns
  • Working on strategic new business initiatives that may include writing opinion/thought pieces, podcasts, talks, our social content and webinars
  • Exploring our clients’ objectives and spotting new business opportunities to deliver value
  • Pushing the agency’s offering in new and exciting directions
  • Define target audiences, demographics, cultural sectors and other customer groups to influence effective strategies
  • Analyse data trends and consumer behaviour
  • Gather market research and results to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and aid meetings, pitches and workshops
  • Provide recommendations for growth based on research results and analytics
  • Ensure ideas are realistic and achievable and seek to find the best solution within the timeframe and budget
  • Assist in the delivery and management of each project, including liaising directly with the client

What you’ll bring
